KVis: Track Layout Guidelines

This guideline is a short introduction to the naming policy of the model railway track layout.
Bell
- the bell itself: bell
- number and square next to the bell: bell0
Lamps
- lamp and the corresponding number (e.g. lamp0)
Points
- point and the corresponding number (e.g. point0)
Railroad Crossing
- number and circle: rc and the corresponding number (e.g. rc0)
- closed railroad gates (long): gate and corresponding number (e.g. gate0)
- open railroad gates (short): ogate and corresponding number (e.g. ogate0)
Signals
- on unidirectional tracks: track name and chosen colour (e.g. OC_LN_2Red)
- on bidirectional tracks: track name, direction and chosen colour (e.g. KH_ST_1fwdYellow or KH_ST_1revYellow)
Tracks
- with branches: track and branch name merged with branch (e.g. KH_ST_0branchKIO_LN_0)
- without branches: the corresponding track name (e.g. KH_ST_0)
Trains
- there are a total of 11 trains on the track, all numbered consecutively from KH_ST down to OC_ST (e.g. from train0_0 and train0_1 on KH_ST_1 to train10_0 and train10_1 on OC_ST_1)
- head of the train: train, number and underscore 0 (e.g. train0_0)
- second part: train, number and underscore 1 (e.g. train0_1)
